‍ Metallica | Rocket Racing

Metallica: Fuel. Fire. Fury. was a Live Event in the Fortnite ecosystem where Rocket Racing released our biggest track to date in collaboration with Metallica. I had the pleasure of taking end-to-end design of this track, working with Art, Environment, Audio, FX, and Partnerships in order to meet both Executive and Metallica goals. This track was a single lap, hill climb inspired track. Initially you swerve through lava fields while rocking out to Fuel, before teleporting into an etherial space where you race along a guitar neck. Picking the right spots on the neck gives you boosts, but if you stay too long on the ground, the fret will knock you off balance! Clearing the guitar, you are teleported back to the track inside the volcano! Here you race over lava drops and bursts, bumping speakers, and chain obstacles on your way to see the concert in the middle of the volcano.
